When is Lurking a good thing?

Lurking is good when it’s the title of a new anthology that includes your work in it!

I’m pleased to announce that the e-book edition of Lurking, part of the Dark Decades Anthology Series by Inky Bones Press, edited by Robin Knabel, is now live and ready for purchase through your favorite e-book reader!

I’m super stoked to be in this anthology, which is part of a larger horror series tied to specific decades that also includes:
  • There’s No Escape (1920s, film/cinema/theater)

  • Who’s Listening? (1940s, radio)

  • Are You Watching? (1960s, TV)

  • Captured (1980s, VCR/videotape/Camcorder)

  • The Web (2000s, Internet connections)

Lurking features cyber horror (social media/AI/devices) that’s set in present times (2020s). From the book description:

Are smart devices too smart?

“It seems harmless to bark basic household commands to an electronic assistant on the kitchen counter or to plot out your daily schedule on a digital calendar. Chatting online with strangers seems like a good idea, when you’re safe behind a locked door. But what if it isn’t?”

Early reviews of this anthology have been really positive!

The anthology includes my creepy short story about a cyberstalker, “Lather, Rinse, Repeat.” Readers have described it as

“a contemporary morality tale, taking cyber-stalking to its inevitable conclusion. A lot of people will relate to this story.”

Also:

“Such a drain-the-color-from-your-face type of story (in the best way possible!!) …You’re not always so safe on social media as you think you are, and this short story perfectly captured that essence!”

Print editions will come out at a later time, but if you like reading off your device, you’ll want to jump on the special price right now and get your download!
