Now… Find great PNW writers at The Sellman Shelf

As you might have guessed, I’m a big fan and proponent of literature from the Pacific Northwest.

I sometimes think readers from outside our region imagine we’re all up here living in a cloud of fog, but writers in the Great Northwest are a busy lot, pushing out powerful, energizing, diverse, and open-minded work that testifies to the stalwart creative drive we all share.

It tracks… we reside in a place overrun with inspiring scenery, amazing coffee and tea, and lots of opportunities to write (between the rain and the darkness!).

I decided to make a BookShop.org boutique—’The Sellman Shelf‘—to celebrate these voices and visions, and the links to it and each “shelf” can be found below.

BookShop.org is a fantastic alternative to that “other” online bookstore as it prioritizes linking readers with books by way of independent and boutique booksellers. (BookShop.org, in case you didn’t already know, is the former IndieBound portal.)

This list of mine is by no means exhaustive, but a work in progress. Today I’ve plugged some names and titles in to get the ball rolling, but I sure would love to get suggestions from readers.

Please reach out to me with your favorites and I’ll see if I can add them (sometimes distribution challenges prohibit some adds, such as for self-published or books not distributed through Ingram, etc.). If you’re from AK, BC, ID, MT, OR, or WA, and you have published your books, I’d love to add them if I can!

Know this: By buying any of these books from my shop,
my local bookseller, Saltwater Bookshop, gets a little something-something.
