I became active with the Authors Event Network last year and had a great time hand-selling my book, Intention Tremor, side by side with my local author peers.
One event I did twice was sell books at the AEN table at the Kingston Public Market.
It’s a favorite because it’s in my home town (obviously) but also because it’s such a nice venue—Mike Wallace Park is right on the waterfront and summer weather there is lovely—with lots of people milling around looking at all the tents proffering local wares.

This year, I have two books to sell, so I’ll be back next Sunday (tomorrow) alongside other member authors (including my podcast co-host Clay Vermulm!).
If you missed it the first time, now’s your chance to hop on the Edmonds-Kingston Ferry and make a sweet day trip! I suggest “walking over” on the ferry. There’s free parking on the other side in Edmonds, so you save yourself money and time by ditching the car and taking a lovely boat commute to the other side.
If you do come, check out the Over the Moon Coffee Roasters just up the street, they have the best cold brew around and they support local authors, besides!
Ferry schedule here.
If you live on the west side of the Sound, it’s an easy trek up the Kitsap peninsula, and there’s plenty of free parking down by the marina.
I’ll have copies to sign of both Cul de Sac Stories and Intention Tremor (and remember, 100% of my sales of Intention Tremor) benefit the Accelerated Cure Project).
Meanwhile, you can enjoy our lovely waterfront, stroll around the market, listen to live music, check out tasty bites at the market or go into town for some yummy eats (crepes, ice cream, empanadas, pizza, cottage pie, or tasty pub fare), and explore the shoreline on the northeast side of the ferry dock or the marina just west/southwest.
It will be a fantastic PNW summer day; if you don’t have any plans, come on over!
