This was a super fun event (inspiring, too, since I have my own book launch to look forward to this summer!). I wanted to make sure to post about it so you can hear more about this spooky collection of horror stories, Bad Spirits.
Don’t forget, Clay is my counterpart at the Beneath the Rain Shadows podcast… how could I not go and support by partner in horror writing?

Left to right, top to bottom:
- Artisan’s Bookshop book signing and launch for Bad Spirits (CVF Publishing’s debut title) on March 28, 2024; Clay Vermulm signing copies of Bad Spirits, which he contributed to both as author and editor with Tori V. Rainn
- Local artist Anthony Brock playing live acoustic for the crowd; cover image for Bad Spirits [buy now]
- Clay Vermulm setting up a merchandise giveaway at the book launch
- I met my Contemporary Dark Fiction peer, author KL Grady, in person at the event!
- Clay Vermulm reading from Molly Thynes‘ “Auntie Lena,” in Bad Spirits… just the start, which I had to finish reading later because holy F, what a scary story! I had to know how it ended!
