Winter break begins today!

Hi friends!

Today I start a winter hiatus from the blog. Life was overfull in 2025 and I’m in need of some hibernating time! I’ll be returning to the blog in mid-April 2026. Meanwhile:

  • My Rhymes With Camera Substack will return for a “resolutions” edition on January 2, then skip the February edition and return in March. Still, that’s the best way to keep up with me and you can always go back and read the previous editions. Not a subscriber? It’s free to subscribe, with no levels of commitment. Signing up supports me even if it’s free. You can do that here.
  • My monthly calendar will continue to highlight what I’m doing and where I’m at, highlighting HWA events I might also be promoting for the HWA here.
  • I’m not taking a break from socials, but I might be there less than usual. Still, if you already follow me, you know… I’m responsive. It’s also where I post news about filmmaking, podcasting, new publishing projects, and other events for the HWA. Check out where you can find me online here.
  • I still have books available, if you’re interested in picking them up. Check out Rain Shadows here. Check out Cul de Sac Stories here. Check out Intention Tremor here
  • The Beneath the Rain Shadow (BTRS) podcast returns with monthly episodes in 2026, featuring myself, my co-host Clay Vermulm, and two brand-new co-hosts, M. Leigh and Gordon B. White.
  • Need to reach out to me for something else? You can do so through my social channels, in an email, or using this form.

Wishing you a peaceful holiday season and
a winter both calm and beautiful.
