Looking for great PNW writers? Check out The Sellman Shelf

I just updated my BookShop curated collection with the works of six new authors from Kitsap county: John Davis (poetry), Claire Dederer (nonfiction), Judy Driscoll (nonfiction), Jonathan Evison (fiction), Jamie Ford (fiction), David Guterson (fiction), and Mary Guterson (fiction). I love so many things about my region, including the literature that comes out of fog, the bog, the wide open spaces, and the highlands. If you love literature rich in landscape, then you really must invest in the stories of the writers of the Great Northwest.

My BookShop.org boutique—’The Sellman Shelf‘—celebrates these voices and visions, and the links to it and each “shelf” can be found below.

BookShop.org is a fantastic alternative to that “other” online bookstore as it prioritizes linking readers with books by way of independent and boutique booksellers. (BookShop.org, in case you didn’t already know, is the former IndieBound portal.)

This list of mine is by no means exhaustive, but a work in progress. I’m always happy to receive suggestions from readers. Please reach out to me with your favorites from AK, BC, ID, MT, OR, or WA, and I’ll see if I can add them (sometimes distribution challenges prohibit some adds, such as for self-published or books not distributed through Ingram, etc.)!

Know this: By buying any of these books from my shop,
my local bookseller, Saltwater Bookshop, gets a little something-something.
