I have new work out and wish to honor and celebrate the publishers.
My flash fiction story, “Thieves,” appears in the fall 2025 edition of Ink in Thirds. It illustrates how a neurodivergent teen processes the terminal illness of his next-door neighbor.
You might need some Kleenex; this is not horror fiction, but an emotional literary story.
My experimental piece, “About the Ichor Forest,” is described by publisher Wicked Shadows Press as “masquerading as a luxury travel brochure.”
The editors said of this piece that it “meticulously constructs a word of carnal tourism and sanctioned savagery.”
It’s definitely one of the darker satires I’ve ever written and I’m thrilled that it appears now in Flash of the Dead 2025.
A reminder
If you’re disappointed to find links but no free access to my work,
please be reminded: publishers, editors, artists, and authors provide
real creative labor that serves to entertain a demanding audience.
Publishing comes with built-in costs to defray, including
editing and design services, marketing, and the computers and
subscriptions required to produce these works,
not to mention salaries and, with any luck, benefits.
Everyone involved earns the right to be paid for their work.
