UPDATE
I’ve extended my hiatus from February 15
to end on March 31, 2025. See you then!
Can’t wait that long? Subscribe to my free monthly Substack (details below)!
Hi friends!
Today I start a 2-month break from blogging. There’s a lot going on, not only in the big wide world, but here in my little fort of words.
I have stories to revise, holidays to enjoy, health challenges to tend, novels to write, miles to hike, gardens to tend (yes, even now) and to plan.
In order to do “all the things,” it means I won’t, in fact, do “all the things.” Instead, I’m only going to do “some of the things.”
- My Rhymes With Camera Substack continues to drop on the second day of each month. It will be a bit shorter, but still tasty edition. (My readers often tell me how much they love my Substack!) Not a subscriber? It’s free to subscribe, no levels of commitment. Signing up supports me even if it’s free. You can do that here.
- I do have a contribution to the “Ambling Along the Aqueduct” blog for Aqueduct Press coming soon. The series is their year-in-review feature, “The Pleasures of Reading, Viewing, and Listening in 2024.” That online location is here, though I don’t yet have a date for my contribution. When I do, I’ll update this link here in the blog. I hope you’ll swing by and check what I wrote!
- My monthly calendar will continue to highlight what I’m doing, where I’m at (which is not a lot during December, January, and February), and other events that I might be promoting for the HWA and Cascade Writers. You can find it here.
- I’m not taking a break from socials, but I might be there less than usual. Still, if you already follow me, you know… I’m responsive. It’s also where I will post news about my poetry film, Look Up, and other events for the HWA and Cascade Writers. Check out where you can find me here.
- I still have books available, if you’re interested in picking them up. Check out Cul de Sac Stories here. Check out Intention Tremor here.
- If you haven’t listened to the Beneath the Rain Shadow (BTRS) podcast, which I co-host with PNW horror author Clay Vermulm, you can go and listen to the entire season here.
Note: We are preparing Rain Shadows, the collection that was written during the first season of BTRS, for publication this spring, so you might want to listen over the next few months, as it will give you some insights into what that book is going to look like (yes, we’re excited!).
- Need to reach out to me for something else? You can do so through my social channels, in an email, or using this form.
