It’s a funny story
I planted a sprouting broccoli variety in spring 2023 that would need a full year to put out florets, but I waited and babied those plants for almost a year… then we had a catastrophic cold snap in February 2024 and it killed my plants… and they were enormous!
So I found a different kind of sprouting broccoli, PURPLE, planted seeds this March and check it out!!!!! I still got my sprouting broccoli harvest on time, just from brand-new dwarfing plants instead. When I saw these through my kitchen window, you can bet I did a Snoopy dance!
