Early summer brings heat to Spring Scares

Horror isn’t only for Halloween, when the fog is dense, the days run short, and the night air chills you to the bone.

In fact, you can celebrate the dark, creepy, spooky stuff almost six months ahead of All Hallow’s Eve in Seattle on Saturday, May 11th when the Horror Writers Association Seattle Chapter joins with local horror writers and partners with the Totem Lake Barnes & Noble to “Spring Scares.”

It just so happens that we’re getting a nice blast of hot weather in the region this coming weekend, which might be a fun way to turn up the hellish heat on the event! Instead of gothic haunts and spooky graveyards, imagine demon’s lairs or baptism by raging fire!

This free-to-the-public four-hour event features a dozen horror authors in round-robin discussions about the horror genre and includes book signings between noon and 4pm.
